In the old ages, man wore objects: leaves, stones, cloth... and believed those brought him goo luck. As monotheistic religions spread, man created social religious symbols and started wearing them: the Cross for the Christians, the Star of David for the Jews and the evil eye or the amulet for the Anatolian Muslims. The urban man of our time lives in an environment that he has created, understood and can control better than Nature. "Design" has raised man to a position of creator. Hence, objects of design have become objects of charm. To see, own, consume them has become a new way of life. This way of living is taking man into a world of design that becomes beautiful, practical, transparent, simple, striking and magical. The designer has now become a Dionysus, having experienced the mesmerizing taste of creativity. The world is taking shape in his hands, the locations where his creations are exhibited or sold are becoming points of attraction.
The modern man will search for magic in the beauty of designs that are filtered through the human brain.
I tried to look at the magic of design and the design of magic in that respect. As Aragon has said, where faith recedes flowing from sacred places into dust, we can witness the inquisition of the esthetic of daily living and the metaphysics of the reconstructed space and body.
