What space is to body,
Body is to jewelry

I believe that architectural way of thinking should be the guiding light and compass of modern jewellery designer.

Modern jewelry designer should go through the process of seaching for an idea and reaching and using information an architect goes through when designing purpose-built, functional spaces. The designer should undertake the jewelry which completes the body and aesthetics with the same perspective and should redefine his/her space and boundaries in his search for a bond between body and jewelry.

As the Italian jewelry designer Giampaolo Babetto says : “ Jewelry should no longer be a sculpture worn, but a an architectural object designed for body. It should find its rhytms through body form and movements and it should not be perceived as an organic ornament as Frank Lloyd Wright interprets. ”

Jewelry has also quit objectivity, determining where it stands in conception of modernism. This deed removed all boundaries and personalised jewelry. Jewelry, no longer just an anonymous object or any stone, has become the mirror of indivudiality, an indispensable part of human-space relationship in our daily lives, related to its wearer, reflecting how he/she stands against life.

Modern jewelry has slipped out of the restraints caused by the jewelry being seen as an indication of wealth and has taken wings to variations.

Modern jewelry does not only use gem stones or metal but also any material you can think of from newspaper to honeycomb.
Jewelry is a sign as unique as a glimpse or a smile in modern man’s life and clothing he/she’s trying to simplify. It’s a symbol, worn not for what its worth but for what it expresses, a symbol taking its value from its designer’s thoughts and the choice of its wearer.
